Types of braces
Advanced In-Ovation Technologies
At Apple, you’ll enjoy the benefits of the most advanced technologies in braces, including GAC’s In-Ovation bracket systems. These brackets improve your results, reduce treatment time, require fewer and shorter office visits, are smaller and more attractive than other systems, and are gentle on your teeth. In-Ovation brackets are self-ligating which means that your arch wires snap directly onto the brackets, thus eliminating the need for elastic ties. In-Ovation technologies are available in metal, ceramic and lingual braces. .
Metal Braces
Metal braces are the most common type of braces and are more comfortable today than ever before. Made of high-grade, stainless steel, metal braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets and arch wires.
Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, ceramic braces are used mainly on older teenagers and adult patients who have cosmetic concerns. While they are visually less prominent, ceramic braces are slightly larger and require more attention to oral hygiene. Ceramic braces tend to be used more on upper-front teeth than on lower teeth. We typically offer ceramic braces at the same low price as metal braces, however, there is a small premium charge for insurance plans with a contracted fee.
Lingual Braces
If you’re looking for braces that are invisible, comfortable and affordable, linguals may be the right choice for you. A breakthrough in cosmetic orthodontics, linguals attach comfortably behind your teeth and are becoming the preferred method of treating minor tooth misalignments. Most cases treated with linguals can be finished in up to half the time of the standard Invisalign® case. Some cases are done in less than six months. And only you know that you’re actually wearing braces!
Invisalign® (Clear Orthodontic Appliances)
Invisalign® uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth. No one can tell you are wearing Invisalign® because the aligners are invisible! They are removable so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. You’ll also find brushing and flossing much less of a hassle. Aligners are comfortable and have no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. Click here to learn more about Invisalign®.
