Dr. Joseph M. Pelle has been practicing orthodontics since 1971. He earned his DMD from the University of Pittsburgh and MS in orthodontics from Case Western Reserve University. He was chairman of the orthodontic departments of West Virginia University and the University of Pittsburgh and served as dean and chairman of the Dental School of Orthodontics at Jacksonville University. Professional memberships include the American Association of Orthodontists, Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, and College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Pelle joined Apple Orthodontix in 1997.

He and his wife are active members of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Colleyville.
