Apple Orthodontix Welcomes New Doctor

We’d like to extend a warm welcome to Dr. Marites Y. Del Mundo who has recently joined the Apple Orthodontix family. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of the Philippines in 1993 where she graduated at the top of her class and received the Most Outstanding Dental Graduate Award given by the International College of Dentists. She completed her orthodontic residency at the University of Minnesota in 1996 and returned to practice in the Philippines. Prior to joining Apple Orthodontix in 2008, she practiced in Washington.

Here’s what Dr. Del Mundo says about practicing orthodontics. “Seeing my patients happy and satisfied with their smiles is priceless!”

Dr. Del Mundo is fluent in English and Filipino. She practices at our Denton Office located at 2430 Lillian Miller Pkwy @ I-35. Please give her an extra big smile at your next appointment!

Apple Orthodontix Names 2008 Livewires Grand Prize Winner!

Greg Weatherford II of Little Elm is our winner. At the recent Livewires supper, Greg won 4 tickets to the 2008-9 home game of his choice, dinner for 4 in the Platinum Club, a meet and greet with the player of his choice, an autographed Dirk shirt and ball autographed by the team. Livewire Stirs Hearts on Good Morning Texas

Apple Orthodontix Livewires Contest

If a tv host, producer and crew could give a standing ovation to a guest, it would have gone to Greg Weatherford II of Little Elm High School, the first winner chosen in the Apple Orthodontix Livewires Contest. Apple CEO Chad Packard invited Greg to share his remarkable story on the popular morning show Good Morning Texas on Nov 29. Host Brenda Teele was overwhelmed as Greg described the breadth and depth of volunteerism spearheaded by Young People Who Care, the organization Greg founded when he was in the 8th grade.

During this school year, YPWC will tackle more than 60 projects including a campus beautification project, a toy drive for the Children's Medical Center and the Salvation Army, a Habitat for Humanity building project, peer tutoring and recycling. Most recently, they have "adopted" an orphanage for Christmas and will provide gifts and a holiday dinner for all the children. YPWC members even took advantage of Greg's trip downtown to the Channel 8 studios to do a good deed. On the way, they stopped to pick up about 100 donated sandwiches which they distributed to the homeless in downtown Dallas.

Greg has touched the hearts and minds of his classmates, his teachers, his community and all those who are helped through YPWC.
